”White sugar or should I say processed sugar has absolutely no nutritional value. ”So, why are we eating white sugar by the barrels each year? Well, everything we consume coming in a package has sugar added-even sodium!! (salt)
The absolute best place to find a sugar overload is soda pop and a sure path to diabetes!! I was 20 when diabetes was discovered. Or at least borderline diabetes because my blood sugar level don't get into the 300 and above range. In fact they don't ever get into the 200 mg/dl levels any longer since I changed my diet somewhat. But, that old doctor who gave me the info very probably saved my life. He told me to lay-off the sugared soda pop. I did immediately!!! I am going to throw a few stats at you: 1 tsp = 5 grams 1 Tbsp = 15 grams Coca Cola a 12 oz Can-Sugar content: 39 grams so in one can of Coke you are getting 2 ½ tablespoons of straight highly processed sugar 7 ½ teaspoons! Try this, get a 12 oz glass or 10 oz glass, fill it with water.
Now, get and ordinary teaspoon and ladle in seven and a half teaspoons of sugar.
Foods can kill: Americans eat on average 153 lbs. of sugar annually. The average teen age boy eats twice that amount, hidden sugar is in nearly every ready-to-eat processed food. Did you know that sugar is added to salt and bacon, sushi, roasted nuts, bouillon cubes.
There's 5 grams of sugar in one teaspoon. An average a 6 ounce container of fruit yogurt has 7 teaspoon of sugar. Just imagine scooping yourself out 6 ounces of regular unsweetened yogurt and adding 7 teaspoons of sugar to it! I am going to pick on soda, it has on average more white sugar added: Let's say you drink two or three Cokes in the course of a 8-9 hour work day. 7.5 X 3= 22.5 teaspoons of sugar or 7 tablespoons of sugar. You see where I am going with this? And what if you eat danish for breakfast another 3 teaspoon/1 tablespoon of processed white sugar. You snack on Reese peanut butter cups at 3pm break another 20 g or 3 tsp/1 Tbsp. You end your day eating anywhere from 10-15 tablespoons/day; 5 days a week. Then on the weekend you eat more because you eat out on weekends. Multiply that by the weeks/year which is 52 times a conservative guess of 50 tablespoons of sugar/week = 2600 Tablespoons of sugar/year. It takes 16 tablespoons to = 1 cup = 162.4 cups of sugar/year. Cups to lbs is 2 cups/lbs which averages out to be 81.2 lbs of sugar in one years time, maybe more if you eat a lot of sweets and drink sugared soda pop. My findings indicate sodas like Coke, Mountain Dew, Pepsi, Dr pepper, Sprite have huge amounts of sugar even compared with a.... Snickers candy bar which is only 18 grams of sugar, and that Reese's peanut butter/chocolate has 20g half as much as a 12 oz Coke. And remember when eating a peanut butter cup you're counteracting the effect of the sugar by eating peanut butter which filters in to your blood stream much slower. So, if you must eat junky crap eat the junky crap that has less sugar. And if you must drink soda pop consume only diet, and for goodness sakes if your children drink soda make them drink un-sugared ones. Never let them consume soda at meal time, only organic milk and filtered water!! Protect you children now before diabetes is inevitable. De-sugar now before insulin injections become a part of your life and you are wishing a diabetic cure had just been discovered.
Easy Ways to Lose Weight-Obesity White Sugar upsets the balance of minerals in the body while ingesting just 2 teaspoons. Too much sugar upsets the delicate balance between calcium and phosphorous. Situationally, calcium becomes toxic and causes:
kidney stones hardening of arteries arthritis gallbladder stones bone spurs cataracts When too much white sugar is present the decrease in minerals slows and stops reaction from happening in the body. Reactions are what make us, they are why we are alive. The catalyst for all reactions in the body are enzymes, and they don’t function without minerals which fuel the motor. Too much sugar over works our entire body and weakens our immune systems. White cells which fight pathogens entering the body are not manufactured in an adequate supply to ward off disease. Consequently, in less than 100 years an array of new disease have emerged to kill us!!
